Kroger Neighborhood Reward Program

Whenever you shop using your Neighborhood Reward Program gift card, Kroger will donate 4% of your total to State of the Heart. Call us at 800.417.7535 to get your free card.

“How do I get started?”

It’s easy!

1. Take your gift card when you go shopping at any Kroger (it’s already loaded with $1 and designated for State of the Heart).
2. At the register, BEFORE the cashier rings up your groceries, load your card with the amount of money you’re going to spend on groceries (up to $250). Remember, there’s already $1 on it the first time.
3. Have the cashier ring up your groceries in a separate transaction.
4. Pay for your groceries with the gift card you just loaded.

You don’t spend any extra money – but every time you reload your Neighborhood Reward Program gift card, Kroger will designate 4% of your total to State of the Heart Hospice! Every time our supporters collectively reload $5,000, we will receive a check from Kroger for the 4%.

Tip: Put your gift card on the belt first with a divider between it and your groceries – that way you won’t forget to reload it first!

Q: Where can I reload my gift card?
A: You can reload your card at the register before buying your groceries; this must be done in a separate transaction. Or you can reload it at the customer service desk, but you must wait 2-5 minutes (depending on the store) before the money is available to spend.

Q: What can I buy with the gift card?
A: You can buy any merchandise in a Kroger store, with the exception of services (money orders, Western Union, lottery tickets, stamps, and Ticket Master). You can also use your card at Kroger Fuel Centers.

Q: How can I find the balance on my gift card?
A: Your balance will show on the bottom of your receipt. You can also ask customer service or any cashier, call the number on the back of your card, or visit www.gcbalance.com/.
